What is a good all round vibrator?

Help - there are so many vibrators, where do I start?
The world of vibrators has certainly changed over the last 100 years or so, well let’s be honest it has changed significantly over the last five years. There really was a time when the majority of vibrators were either phallic or clinical, the bastion of either dirty joke or a modern spinster. Vibrators today are sleek and sexy and often come in such unique designs that if your granny saw one on your bedside table she would probably comment on what a lovely ornament you have.

So while things have improved out of site for us ladies one of the problems to arise it that there are almost too many options. Many of us do not know where to start. I am not going to go into the ins and outs (so to speak) of all the vibrator categories as it would take far too long. Rather I am going to address that age old question of what is a good all round vibrator.

This is quite a tricky question to answer given that all women orgasm differently, some require g-spot stimulation others clitoral some of us would like both to happen at the same time - please, although with different pressure and vibration on each sensitive area.

The other problem is that everyone’s anatomy is special which is great for us – not so good for the vibrator manufacturers. Their lives would be made much simpler if every g-spot and clitoris was in exactly the same spot. So please keep this in mind when looking at some of the products mentioned below. I have tried to cover all bases using feedback we have received, but just remember that there is no such thing as a one size fits all in vibrator land. Experimenting is just part of the fun!

For those who would like dual stimulation simultaneously the good old rabbit style vibrator is probably your best starting point. Don’t worry they have progressed far beyond the jelly plastic pink vibe with the rotating pearls that grind around and a weak bunny ear vibe (although they are still available in updated versions if you so choose). I would suggest the following:
Lelo Soraya – Lelo have really updated the bunny with their Soraya. This is one of the most sophisticated rabbits available (and it doesn’t even look like a rabbit). Soraya has two motors, one for each pleasure point and the rabbit part of the vibe is flexible.
Swan – Swan have an amazing range of rabbit style vibrators and you really need to have a good think about which one would suit you. There are some with dual motors, others have a motor in the ears and a rotating shaft, while others simply have one motor. Check out the Swan range here.
Je Joue – Fifi - this vibe has not one but three motors. Once again it is a silicone and bodysafe product. It has a unique design the ears are not flexible and its girth is quite big.

If you are only looking for clitoral stimulation then you too are spoiled for choice. If it is power you are after I would suggest one of the wands. If it is discreet comfort then there are a variety of hand held massagers available. It is also worth remembering that the majority of vibrators can be used for external stimulation. So if you have a g-spot vibe that doesn’t hit the spot then try it externally, it may just work better for you that was
Lelo Wand – This comes in two sizes and is an excellent option of you are after a cordless wand style vibrator. Beware the large size has so much power it can be felt all the way to your shoulder.
Hitachi Style Wand - This is the famously the most powerful stimulator available, primarily because its power source comes from the mains, no batteries and no recharging. The down side is that this means there is always a cord attached. Hitachi products do not work so well in Australia because of the power difference, but the Japanese Original Massager by BodyWand is a pretty close match.
Leaf Spirit – Leaf (which is a sub brand of swan) have a range of beautifully designed clitoral stimulators and our favourite is the spirit, just because it fits so snugly in the palm of your hand.

There may be some who are simply after a g-spot vibe and once again there is a huge choice here. This vibrators can be a little more hit and miss so to speak, but are well worth it when you find one that works for you.
Lelo Gigi – This is Lelo’s most popular product. It is a reasonably small toy but it has a tapered tip which is just perfect for finding the right spot.
Swan Trumpeter – This is a subtle g-spot vibe with the added bonus of having two curved ends (one slightly larger than the other) and both have motors, so all you have to do is figure out which end is for you.
Key By Jopen Comet – So this product is actually a dildo rather than a vibrator, but we have had such good reports from buyers and it is made from such silky smooth silicone that we just had to include it.

Our next category is discreet which covers, yes you guessed it, those vibrators which you might not wish to be detected. So out which the phallic monster sized cocks and in with the subtle, lipstick sized vibrators
Lelo Mia – This is a lovely lipstick style bullet vibe which is perfect for travel.
We-Vibe Tango – Both the We-vibe Tango and Salsa (which is unfortunately soon to be discontinued  ) are exceptional bullet style mini vibrators. They are quiet and certainly pack a punch where power is concerned.

The final category which I am going to cover are those which all women should look into, the kegel balls, otherwise known as Ben Wa balls or pelvic floor exercisers. Again these do not always vibrate, but they are an essential part of every collection. Not only do they provide exquisite stimulation they can also assist in keeping those muscles that prevent bladder leakage in fine form.
Je Joue Ami – Made from super soft silicone you get three different sizes in the collection which means you can go from strength to strength
Lelo Luna Pleasure Beads – These are fantastic, easy to use and with four different balls you can really vary how you use them.
Swan Clutch – This toy has the advantage of vibrating to help develop the muscles. The downside is that it comes in one size only so is not as useful for those who wish to gradually develop strength.

This really is just an overview of the huge amount of products that women can choose from today. We have selected above some of the toys which have wither has excellent reviews from those who know their stuff as well as customer feedback. Ultimately the choice is up to you.
